This course is for those who are very beginners with no previous knowledge of Arabic language . This course lasts for 8 weeks based on one session of 3 hours a week on Sundays 10.30am - 1.30pm at Brentside High School, Greenford Avenue, Hanwell, LONDON W7 1JJ. The date to be set later depending on the enrolled learners.

The curriculum book for this course consists of two units;

adults Level1 bookUnit One starts with teaching different patterns, short and long sounds of Arabic alphabetic letters and how to join them properly to make words. There are; two tapes or CD-Roms come with a clear and easy to follow text book to make it easy for the learners to practice their learned skills more at home. Most of this unit has been translated; to help learners read and write regardless of the level of the vocabulary they know and sentences structure. The unit also covers short and long sounds and explores how clearly distinguish between them to ensure fluent speaking. It also focuses on diacritical marks (harakat) of the language and provides some remarks that makes the cornerstone of the next level of understanding, comprehension, clear reading, neat writing and some basics of grammar. In regards to speaking, some describing expression, greeting words and short conversations are included to encourage some basic skills of speaking.
